Acrobatic Gymnastics

What is acro?

Acrobatic gymnastics is a competitive discipline of gymnastics in which the participants work in pairs or groups and perform different acrobatic moves, dance, and tumbling. Acrobatic gymnastics is a recognized sport by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) and has been featured in international competitions!

The sport has three types of routines:

  • Balance: this routine focuses on the strength, poise, and flexibility of the gymnasts. 

  • Dynamic: this routine includes throws, catches, and flips

  • Combined: this routine is a mix of both balance and dynamic

Acrobats are judged based on artistry, execution of skills and difficulty of skills. There are 3 types of groups you can compete with.

Acro team classes are Tuesdays 4:30-6pm and Thursdays 4-5pm

Acro recreational classes are Mondays 4-5pm

Tuesday: 3:00-9:00

Wednesday: 3:00-9:00

Thursday: 3:00-9:00

Friday: 2-9:30

Saturday: 9-3:30

Sunday: 1:00-6
